Change Of Plans

For some, a change of plans is welcomed…for others not so much. You might be one of those who loves change because it breaks up the monotony. You aren’t at all put-out by the unknown or the variations because you are always up for the challenge and welcome the adventure it brings. However, it’s possible you are very uncomfortable with any alteration to your daily, weekly, or annual routines. Anything that alters your plan becomes rather unnerving as it disrupts the stability of your comfortable pre-determined journey. But what if God is the one changing things up? Even if you’re okay with variation and change, are you willing to let God mix things up for you? If you are entrenched in your routines and fairly unwilling to change, are you at least open to God interrupting your comfort in order to provide a better plan?

Some would suggest that God never changes…like ever! That idea needs to be seriously clarified. Of course God is constant and never changing regarding His character and His stability as an incredibly loving and Holy being…but to say or imply that God never alters His plans or modifies His design is to misunderstand how He interacts with His creation.

His overall design for this world is set but it is being worked out in real time as you and I make daily decisions, good or bad. In this episode, Steve is preparing us for the rebuild of our personal renovation as he describes for us the process he went through in building a large 12,000 square foot estate on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach where the plans were constantly in flux and in need of the Architects input. He provides insight as to how we are to interact with Our Architect when the plans appear to be incomplete and in need of clarification.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God knows the plans He has for us. The question really comes down to this: Do you want to get a set of those plans? And, if so, are you ready to allow the most amazing Architect of all time to interact with you throughout your personal renovation? We hope so, because His plan is amazing and you will not be disappointed!
